I was originally under Colchester General but referred to Broomfield after my initial diagnosis. It is a wonderful hospital, full of the most caring staff. Everything about my care there has been a positive experience and I would recommend anybody who has the opportunity to be treated at Broomfield seizes it.

I am a 54 year old male & have lived in Brentwood for 24 years. I have been treated at Broomfield several times, both as an inpatient and an outpatient, for a variety of different conditions ranging from a badly lacerated forehead (1999 - 18 stitches), a torn ligament in my left foot (2004 - plaster cast & crutches for 6 weeks), a serious duodenal bleed (2008 - lost 4 pints of blood) and now bladder cancer, which has shocked me terribly. On Monday 06/06/16 I had a tumour removed from my bladder following a diagnostic procedure conducted over just 28 days from my initial GP appointment. As I lay awake during the night after my surgery I found myself crying and muttering to myself "Thank God for this wonderful place & people" repeatedly, it really was one of those "deep" moments that we all experience when we face turmoil in our lives. My appreciation & regard for the truly excellent standard of care & professionalism that I have ALWAYS received at this marvellous Hospital knows no bounds, indeed Broomfield is not just a Hospital, in my opinion it is now an institution, a real "Centre of Excellence", and should be recognised as such. This true "Beacon of Hope" is a fantastic example of what our magnificent National Health Service stands for - across the board the entire Staff deserve the utmost credit & praise for their endeavours on our behalf. Thank you Broomfield Hospital, from the very bottom of my heart (which seems to be ticking along nicely, thank you, but I know where I'll be going if anything changes!).
